Lacklustre, dull, congested skin in need of a pick me up?  Clays have you covered.  Incorporating a clay mask into your weekly routine can really help your skin become clear and glowing.

We have two clay based products to give you glowing healthy skin. Our Facial Exfoliant Scrub & Mask and our Pink Clay & Cacao Face Mask.  These products help draw out impurities, detoxify, clear black heads and blemishes, brighten & improve skin tone and texture for a flawless complexion.

Clay is packed full of nutrients and minerals which help to draw out impurities, bind dirt and detoxify.  This gives pores a deep clean and with regular applications keeps skin clear.  Clays also provide a gentle exfoliation.  It removes dull and dead skin which clarifies, giving way to smoother and softer skin.
It’s also a wizard at balancing sebum and oil production which can also in turn help with acne and blemishes – binding & ridding bad bacteria.  A clay mask works great as a spot treatment too.

Along with clay, we include a blend of dried herbs and botanical powders in our masks to help with further exfoliation, blood circulation, lymphatic drainage, to feed and nourish with vitamins, which keeps skin conditioned and hydrated for a more complete treatment with immediate results.

Pink Clay Face Mask

Something you may not know is both our Facial Exfoliant Scrub & Mask and our Pink Clay Face Mask come as a powder.  Why?  It’s mainly due to the extremely high nutrient and mineral content in clay which is activated once it’s mixed with water (or a similar liquid).
By providing our mask and scrub in powder form it means it’s the freshest and most potent when you apply it.  Giving you better results without the need for any preservatives or synthetics.  It’s a more stable product with a longer shelf life. That’s a win win win in our books.

Facial Exfoliant Scrub & Mask

This fine powdered scrub is a two-in-one.  It’s an easy and quick exfoliant as well as a brightening mask.  Packed with gentle cleansing yellow clay which sloughs away dead skin it also detoxifies and draws out impurities.  Rice, Bamboo and Kakadu Plum powder rich in vitamins, silica and anti-inflammatory properties help with further exfoliation along with brightening, purifying, soothing and strengthening the skin for a radiant glow.

“ I have cleared all black heads because of the use of this product”

Quick and easy to use I like to keep mine in the shower.

Mix around a 20 cent piece amount with a little water to create a paste (I like to mix with a little of our cleansing oil as well).   Once you have a thick damp paste, gently massage into skin and neck.  The exfoliant does all the work for you so only light pressure is needed.  When finished massaging, remove with warm water.  Tone and moisturise.

Designed to be used 2-3 times a week depending on your skin.

To use as a brightening mask simply follow the above steps and leave on the skin for a 3-5 minutes and rinse off.

“ By far my favourite exfoliant ever! It leaves skin glowing and super hydrated when followed by face oil. The powder is so versatile, it can be added to a cleanser or used as a mask.”

“My secret weapon against blemishes and makes my skin feel soft and smooth!”

Pink Clay & Cacao Face Mask

This is more of your typical clay mask.  It’s a little darker and messier than our exfoliant but well worth it.  Using a blend of clays – pink, yellow and red – all gentle and effective at exfoliating, replenishing, strengthening and toning skin.  Along with our antioxidant and trace mineral rich organic cacao powder to really get that blood flowing for improved circulation and lymphatic drainage.

Aloe vera is rich in vitamins B and C while hydrating skin. Kakadu plum and tumeric are rich in antioxidants to fight free radicals, promote collagen production, brighten, soothe and calm the skin.

“This mask is amazing and leaves your skin so soft and glowing. It was a breeze to make and only needs to be left on the skin for a few minutes to see great results.”

This blend of botanicals helps to deeply clean pores and detoxify by drawing out impurities.  It’s a great treatment to help reduce redness from blemishes, clarify and improve skin tone & texture by gently exfoliating and promoting blood flow to leave skin conditioned, rejuvenated and balanced.

“This stuff will knock your socks off! I’ve NEVER had a face mask that didn’t sting my Uber sensitive skin that actually does what it claims to before!! My skin is sooo soft!”

Two ways I like to use this mask.  Once a week, mainly on a weekend when I have a little more time or when my skin is super dull or needs some TLC or as a mid week spot/blemish treatment.

Mix 1-2 teaspoons of powder with a few spritzes of our Face Mist and a drop of oil.  Add little by little to create the desired consistency – I like mine a little thicker so 5-6 spritzes normally does it.  I then use a brush and apply all over my face and most of my neck, paying particular attention to any spots or pimples.

Leave for 5-8 minutes and remove the mask with warm water and start to gently rub your fingers to loosen the mask and rinse off.  Finish and remove the rest with a damp warm face cloth or a little cleansing oil to get all of it.  Finish with your toner and moisturise.

A couple of helpful tips if you’re new to clay masks, is to have a dedicated face cloth to remove your face mask as it is a little messy.  I also like to mask on a day when I’m washing my hair so I apply the mask at the sink, leave it for 5 minutes and jump in the shower to remove.

IMPORTANT – Do NOT allow the mask to dry completely.  Clay, if left to dry out completely can deplete the skin of all the nourishment and nutrients we are working so hard to keep. Remove your mask right before it starts to crack.  You can re-hydrate and refresh the mask by spritzing with your face mist to give you a little more time.  But less is definitely more when it comes to masking with clays.

Finally, play around with your clay mask and see what works best for you.  You can also try tailoring the mask to a specific need by mixing it with some natural yogurt or honey.  Yogurt contains lactic acid to gently clear congestion and brighten and honey holds antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties which is great for healing and calming acne prone or really dry skin.
