Frequently Asked Questions
Where is Babs made?
We are a small Australian owned business and we make all our products by hand in Melbourne.
Where should I store Babs products?
We recommend storing them in a cool spot out of direct sunlight.
What is the shelf life of your products?
We recommend using most of our products within 6-12 months of opening.
How does Babs deodorant work?
Babs deodorant works by killing the odour causing bacteria that lives under your arm pit and allows you to sweat naturally, removing toxins from your body.
My deodorant melts in hot weather. What should I do?
You can still use the deodorant in its runnier state, just give it a stir before applying. If you’d prefer to have it a little firmer, give it a stir and pop it in the fridge for 20-30 minutes and you’ll be good to go.
Is your packaging environmental?
Yes. We use glass jars and bottles where possible otherwise recyclable plastics. We also re-use packaging and boxes where we can. It’s our way of reducing waste and recycling.
Do you test on animals?
No way! We only test on willing family and friends.
Are you vegan?
While we aren’t a completely vegan brand a lot of products are. We do not use animal derived products but our Tea Tree Deodorant, Body Balm and hand cream contain beeswax for its soothing and antibacterial properties. Our Citrus and Geranium & Clary Sage Deodorant and all other oils and products are vegan.
Is your packaging eco friendly?
We choose to package your online order in one box, ready to post. While we understand that
receiving a new skincare product in its own individual box may feel pretty special, but there is very little use for it.
What are the packaging peanuts made of?
Our packaging peanuts are non-toxic, biodegradable, dissolvable and compostable packaging peanuts, made from corn or vegetable starch. They may look similar to foam BUT they are a trillion times better! You can tell if they are biodegradable by dissolving them in water or squishing them.
Biodegradable peanuts will squish and have no static charge unlike Styrofoam. You can also pop them in the compost or use them for kids craft activities.
